When my daughter was very small, one night she was saying her prayers. She asked and stopped me, "Mom, if I hope for a rainbow, may God make one?" Well, what can I say? Anybody who can part the Red Sea, can produce a rainbow for a six-year-old. I hem-hawed around for some seconds, and then shared with her that, yes, if she believed.. Then I thought, "What have I done? What if there is no rainbow tomorrow? Imagine if you can find no clouds? And if you will find, what if it doesn't rain? I've injured the religion with this little one!" The very next day, there is not really a cloud in the atmosphere. Of course. Great. Today Mom's a liar. It absolutely was Memorial Day, so we went to the cemetery to pay our respects. We were travelling, and I had hoped she'd forgotten about the rainbow prayer. Obviously she had, but I'd maybe not. The scriptures say that if you feel, essentially God gives you what you hope for, if you question in Jesus' (Yeshua's) name. Even as we went during that cemetery I was having some worrisome ideas. Then we came upon an area which was being watered with sprinklers. Lo and behold, there is Robin's range, in the same way plain as day. It was almost as though God was saying, "See? Oh you of little faith. I will make it happen, even if it appears impossible." I want the story ended there, nonetheless it does not. It was seen by me, but it wasn't seen by me for what it was, until later. I did so perhaps not understand it, to show her that God had answered her prayer. Her small simple prayer was a massive lesson for me personally. As it turns out, for me personally, he answered her prayer. Exactly how many times have the blessing been missed by me? Now I try to find answered prayers in whatever form they could take. I suspected I'd forgive her for the oats dumped between the wall and the refrigerator. And telling the neighbor she had a "mold" on her face. And, expressing, "huh, uh.. no Mom, this is what you said," when I was wanting to be a little too polite in conversation. To get another viewpoint, consider checking out: anyclean . And wallpapering the hall with stick-on feminine napkins.. Sigh..
